Deuces Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 I use black duplicolor trim paint for interiors... Looks like rich black leather when dry....
Dann Tier Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Hey, bud!, i'm glad you're back at this one!!….I could build a million of these too!! -To me its one of the nicest, as well as fun to build kits ever!! Some may say, "but it doesn't have a complete engine...", but it has a perfect balance of parts count, ease of assembly, and just the right look!!!....you don't even have to fix the ride height!!!......anyway, keep up the great look!!..its turning out beautifully!!
Italianhorses Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Yeah, I'd hit that with some dull coat. Though, I'm sure glossy vinyl seats could have been all the rage in the 70's.

I had the pleasure of being allowed to sit in and inspect a new Miura at a dealership back in the day, and the cream-colored interior was an unbelievable environment. Buttery smooth, aromatic leather that was soft and matte-finished.
Ich_Will Posted October 24, 2018 Author Posted October 24, 2018 Did a very little bit of painting. Motor details and shocks. I also put a satin coat on the seats but they are still way too glossy. I’ll have to hit the hobby shop and get some matte.

Ich_Will Posted October 26, 2018 Author Posted October 26, 2018 I kinda wish it had a full motor, the assembly of it seems like it could have been as easy, or easier to have the whole thing.
Ahajmano Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Will you keep the rear window louvers off? I feel like you wont see much once they are installed.

Duplicolors Universal Flat Black is excellent too!!, but can be more humidity sensitive than their other paints.
Ich_Will Posted October 27, 2018 Author Posted October 27, 2018 Well, I’ve hit the seats with some matte medium. This car has taught me a few additional lessons with how I’ll proceed from now on, painting and such. I’ve done a bit more on the motor and I really like how it came together.
Dann Tier Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Nice job, bud!!….looking better all the time!!!
Ich_Will Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 Yeah baby! Gold paint on the lower panels and the wheels.
Tommy124 Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 (edited) This is GOLD, Mr. Will! All my life I've been in love with it's color, it's brilliance, it's divine heaviness. And I welcome any enterprise... Great process, Will. Miura is once of the few sports cars which may have any body parts painted in gold, I feel. The choice of gold color looks real nice. What is it - Tamiya TS 21? Edited October 29, 2018 by Tommy124

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Goldfinger. My parents loved the Bond movies. Now I’ll have to rewatch them. You are correct, it is TS 21. I was impressed how nice it sprayed. I’m always nervous about metallics. 18 hours ago, Dann Tier said: FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Thanks Dann!
NYLIBUD Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Excellent job so far.The Miura has always been one of my favorite super cars. And yes, that car was one of the original super cars in my opinion.
Ich_Will Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Fighting a stomach bug today so I’m picking away at the Miura to pass the afternoon.
