Don't worry, Dave, I'll fix it. It might even be better.

I noticed how thick the center post on the windshield looks. This may be your chance to make it a little more realistic looking.

Attended to the division bars and window pillars, both adding and removing material.

Did a quickie workup on the dash and tried to fit the interior. After much filing and sanding I have it so it'll sit level with the tops of the doors. Have to add a bit to the front. Then I'll have to add a large parcel shelf to reach the Sloper back wall.

Really nice work so far Pat. What did you fill those rear scratches with Tamiya putty?

Yes, Tamiya putty.

I have a TR4 resin body that has needed as much grinding as this, but it's all worth it for the rarity. I can see all the work you've put in this and it's looking good.

I checked your thread. That almost looks more challenging  than the one I'm working on.

To call the basic body you started with "crude" would be way too kind. I love the 'sloper" profile and applaud your efforts to correct it. Those projects are very gratifying when completed and anyone who sees it when finished will surely appreciate your work. I have corrected some pretty crude resin stuff myself and have always sought to work on those a little at a time by correcting door and other openings in one session, then trim and moldings at another time, etc.  I will be watching your progress with much intrest.

Ground the areas marked in black so the top front of the dash mates the cowl and the rear window lays flat.

Started wiring the engine.

Well Pat, you have really taken on something here. I do admire your determination to overcome each problem along the way, and dropping the thing on the concrete garage floor.... that would have me shouting in anger at my own clumsiness ( I can be extremely clumsy sometimes ). Each time I find myself working on resin cast body shells, I always wonder why I don't stick to styrene kits in boxes...... we hope it's worth the pain of course.

The kit's interior is devoid of details. So I made a compromise between these two.

Man, that body was ROUGH.  The trunk opening looks like someone drunk drew the lines :D

Good salvage work!

Thanks Jim, there is only so much one can do with it. I think it will be presentable at least.
