Weekend update..polished paint and started those gorgeous white 442 stripes ..heres the body after 2500 grit and buffed w novus 2 

And ...the stripes 

The hood one is before applying them wet..wanted a feel how it was gonna look..daddy like !!

89AKurt-  yeah I used micro sol on the decal but wanted to remove the flat decal over the radio for a 3d look I forgot to trim out lol

Wow the way this melds the two different cars/truck defiantly looks factory. Excellent job on the paint too.

Really like the color. Great detailing too! That mold line on upper radiator hose is something I'd get rid of if I were you.

Thanks this build was certainly enjoyable playing with a concept idea and trying to keep it totally possible gm could've started the production of the car using available parts . My buddy kept reminding me to keep it period correct

Thanks!  Yeah those wheels were essential to the build, my 71 has the same style.  Yep I stripped all the chrome w super clean, sprayed the blue,  cleared , then used the 1mm molotow pen for the chrome .
