ewetwo Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Someone recommended an online hobby site to me once that sold new, built, opened, vintage kits to me once. He bought and sold kits. I did an Apple update and I ended up loosing everything. So I've trying to get all my info back. Can anyone tell me the name of the site? Thank you.
Bainford Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 … or perhaps Fred's Model World http://www.fredsmodelworldonline.com/
jas1957 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Spotlight Hobbies is another one & a good place to deal with.
Deuces Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 (edited) How about jimnohio.com ??? I bought a bunch of kits from him in the past... He also hand delivered a box of kits to my front door once.... Sez he was in the neighborhood... Nice guy! ☺️? Edited October 31, 2018 by Deuces
ewetwo Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 No.I knew about Model Roundup but then there was this other site that a member recommended. I'll come across it at some point. Thanks though.
Mr mopar Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 how about this one http://www.gasolinealleyantiques.com/kits/
ewetwo Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Thanks for the info but no. Not those. The member in the forum that recommended this site to me hasn't been around lately and doesn't reply to his messages. So I can't ask him. Seems like there were some new kits but quite a few opened boxes and rebuilt/built kits. It wasn't a really big site. But there were some tires, wheels and other things listed. I'll find it one day.
Rob Hall Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 I think I know the place you are referring to...a relatively new site. Alas, I can't remember the name and didn't bookmark it.
RichCostello Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Sales Shack is a good one with good prices.

ewetwo Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Yes, This is the one. I knew someone would know it. Thank you so much.
SfanGoch Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 Rocketfin is a modeler's resource, like Tony Matteliano's old Scale Model Index website. Another online store, located in Astoria, N.Y., that buys and sells old/vintage kits is ModelCars.com.
ewetwo Posted November 1, 2018 Author Posted November 1, 2018 2 others I didn't know about. Thanks so much.
