Patrick, the wheelwell flares are from the Starsky and Hutch Torino. I had to raise the line where it blends into the fender a good bit. And thanks to you all for continued interest. Sorry for being slow to reply. Here are some more progress shots.

Considering the original shape of the 72 Torino you started from, this looks amazing so far! You can't even recognize anything anymore from that car.

I'm following along.

Been picking away at this since my last post. Getting the nose right with the headlight doors has been a challenge. Close to adding the moldings. More pics soon in primer.

I drove a '78 in high school back in '94. If you cast this i'd be interested in ordering one. The model companies sure missed out on this one.

Paul did you get rid of the flat spot on the top of the windshield opening. It should be round all the way from roof post to roof post like the Johan windshield is. I never understood why Revell screwed that up. Do you plan on casting these?

Hi Tim, not sure what  "the flat spot" is, please let me know and I'll try to answer. There is still work to do along the top of the windshield opening.

Yes this is the master for a resin kit. I do not have a date or a price yet.

This was created using the JoHan 72 Torino as a starting point. It will come with a one piece resin chassis and a sealed hood. I wanted to use the Revell 76 Torino, but the wheelbase was incorrect and the body did not have enough undercut.

Upon seeing the enlarged photos, I noticed the head light doors were set too low. I have removed them and starting over.

The top of the windshield opening is what I was talking about. Compare the Revell body to a Johan body. The top of the opening is wrong on the Revell. The Johan body is 100% correct. I own one of these bodystyle cars but mines a Mercury Montego GT . The windshield does not look like Revells does

Looking awesome. Love these cars.

Something looks a little off on the small B pillar window. Not sure what, but am providing a pic for your eyes. I could just be crazy......

If I could title this project, it would be "Measure Once, Cut Twice, Three or Four Times" lol. Getting closer. Tim, look over the curve of the roof and tell me what you think. Any other comments or critiques are welcome. I want this Bird dead on. Thanks.
