Phirewriter Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 "It was a trike but, the rear was a corvette, maybe 71 or 72 with a springer front end off a motorcycle." This kit?

The dead-simple Monogram Porsche Carrera circa 1976. First model that I had spray painted and clear coated, came out so good I got another one and built it. Have no idea where they ended up. Found the kit for a very reasonable price at a show, combined it w/parts from a couple Fujimi 911 parts boxes that lay dormant for about 30 years, such as fog lights, wheels, tires, front turn signal lenses, side and interior mirrors. It went from 26 total pieces to 36. Really happy how it turned out. Revised the headlight lenses/buckets since photos after seeing several one day at Caffeine & Octane. That's very nice.

Rodent Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 None. Yet. Eventually I would like to build a Mr.Norm 69 Charger funny car (first 1/25 kit I built by myself and bought with lawn mowing money). Also like a Motor City Stockers 70 Chevelle, an AMT 57 Ford, a new tool 70 Coronet built in the colors I built the original in, an Autocar dump truck, and a 69 Impala SS 427 convertible built to modern standards. Some of these aren't difficult to find, but I just haven't done it.

This kit? It's been so long that I truely can't remember the details but, it may just be. Any chance it might still be available?
martin9428 Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Now I can't stop thinking about it and feel I'm going to pay way to much money for it if I do find one. Hell
Jim N Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I remember the Mountain Dew Regal and the Gatorade Indy cars kicking my rump royally when I was young. The Regal was due to the decals and the Indy car because of fiddly construction that I just did not get at that age. I got both of them in the last several years and re-built them. Indy car Regal
Toast Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 I've actually been into finding old kits lately that I enjoyed building before. It feels good re-building a kit that you remember being fun. Also seeing if it was as good as you remember it. It is good way to get a visual mark on your progression as well. A few that I've completed. (even have my original builds to compare) Aoshima / AMT Back to the Future Delorean. Monogram / Revell 1:32 Ferrari F40 Jeff Gordon Dupont Monte Carlo

Being the version with the electric motor in the engine block and working lights, it was way beyond me at the time. I see them come up on the bay occasionally but I can't justify the price. Last one I seen on there a couple weeks ago was twice what I paid for my 1/1 Trans Am. It's been reissued a few times by Arii and Doyousha but without the lights and motor, just not the same. I have this kit... I started on it and set it aside for some reason... Hope to get back on it one day.... ?

slusher Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I use to have a wolfman model and the heed and hands would glow in the dark. I can't remember who made it....i have not found another one...
Phirewriter Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Both Aurora and MPC made wolfman/werewolf kits and both had glow in the dark parts on various releases.
