wardsmodelbuilder Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Here are a few photos of my latest client build, its a Ebbro Lotus 49b in 1/20 scale from 1969 driven by Graham Hill. It is a pretty standard out of the box build, other than the tail pipes and rear suspension supports which are made from tubing. I used zero paints for all the body colours rather than the decals that were supplied with the kit, and replaced the original decals on the side to a set of aftermarket Gold Leaf decals. Nice kit but I found several issues with fitment which made things a little tricky at times. Chris www.wardsmodelbuilder.com wardsmodelbuilder@outlook.com
Jantrix Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Really fantastic work. Looks like the real thing. Whatever the client is paying, it's likely not enough.
Justin Porter Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Lovely build of what are some amazing kits.
Yahshu Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I love the old school formula one cars, you have done an outstanding job on this

Brudda Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Very nice build!!!! Like this version of the lotus. Where did you get the decals? And what issues?
Dann Tier Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 FANTASTIC job!!…..my favorite look for these cars!!
Matt Bacon Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) That looks fabulous.. . a classic from the days when F1 cars actually looked cool! If I can get anywhere near that with mine, I'll be happy! Any steer on what the "fitment issues" you found were would be much appreciated... All the best, M. Edited January 26, 2019 by Matt Bacon
