Sam I Am Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Calling this one finished. I really needed an oob to get me back to the bench. Probably the worst AMT i ever worked with for cleanup and prep. Thanks to everyone in the group build for the motivation.
Sam I Am Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 An outside pic and one of my fleet of Chevies. 1
Jim B Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Yes, if I remember correctly, this kit was a bear to get together. You did a fine job. Nice pair of Chevys.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Well it looks like you're the first to finish. Nice looking build too!!
tbill Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 That looks great, nicely done. That color looks fantastic in the sun, really pops.
Force Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Nice result, you did a good job of it. One have to remember that most of the AMT truck kits was originally issued in the early to mid 70's (the first came 1969) and has been re-issued again and again over the years so the molds are quite worn...so a lot of cleanup is for sure necessary for most of them.

Hmann68 Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Turned out beautiful, sure looks like all that prep work paid off.

I had plenty of time on my hands due to unemployment caused by a health scare. I always found model building therapeutic and it proved so once again. Everything looking up once again, so no worries. I really appreciate all the comments and am looking forward to seeing the rest of the group build in the galleries. Edited March 8, 2019 by Sam I Am
TECHMAN Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Ditto on the prep-work paying off!!! That really turned out super!!! DJ
