dougp Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) Haven't been around much the last few years due to family health issues, building a new house and life in general. I still managed to get a few builds done so I thought I would post up a few from the last 4 years. First off a couple of Corvettes. My take on the Aerowagon and what I thought would be a Petty Garage vette. A club HotWheels challenge build And a few others Edited March 12, 2019 by dougp resize photo
Belugawrx Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Nice Group of builds ... Nice GTI Welcome back !
espo Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Good that you may be getting some bench time again. I like your build style. The Aerowagon Corvette is an unusual color, and the Petty version is a beautiful looking Blue. I especially like the Jeeps. The trail ready on especially. We have an '09 JK in the garage with the Skid Plates half worn thru.
stavanzer Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Great Work. Where did you find that Jeep Trailer?

Alexis the trailer was scratch built using the Jeep snap kit. The trailer frame was scratch built. I used three kits in total for parts and the scratch building. The fourth kit, Monogram's CJ7 remaining parts where used to build the Jeep gasser.
stavanzer Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Oh Wow! That scratch built trailer is Da Bomb! Fantastic work.

The PG Vette is Tamiya metallic blue over Model Masters diamond dust with several coats of pearl clear and clear. I've picked up Tamiya's light red, green and blue pearls to experiment with. I love the depth and extra metal flake the pearl adds to metallics.
