Different but kind of kool at the same time!!! Kind of like a truck rollin around my area, took a 4 wheel drive Chevy that got hit hard in the back cut it behind the cab and mated it to a flatbed car trailer, Tandem axles in the back.. Kind of ingenious in some ways!!

Something very close to this one...

I have one of these in my WIP pile, but using the AMT Firestone Ford kit.  Saw one in Ohio many years ago hauling a Falcon Modified Production drag car.

I used to see these advertised in Old Car Trader magazine for sale. A company made the conversions. They used an Oldsmobile Toronado ( Cadillac or similar) powerplant and trans for the front wheel drive. The rear wheels were just bogey wheels to carry the car load.

I do not know how I stumble across these things, but here we go again. The deeper I got into the article the more my head shook in disbelief.

Could do this in scale quite easily, if you're into that sort of thing... LOL

And yet the world would have been less interesting if they hadn't.

The Chevy truck posted appears to be a Toronado-type FWD conversion, which is not uncommon.

Also not uncommon are specialty truck conversions utilizing the front end of a 4x4 drivetrain along with some sort of "dead" rear axle.
