JPolli Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Just finished. I was infatuated with this car as a very young lad. It was a local east coast D/Gasser in the sixties. It was a moose of a car. However, it ran like a deer. The body is a rare Good Stuff resin 38 Chevy resin body combined with an AMT 37 Chevy Gasser kit. The paint is 1954 Ford Golden Rod Yellow from MCW Auto Finishes. The decals are from Pole Kat decals. Hope you like
TarheelRick Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 That is one wicked Gasser. Mighty fine job on the build.
R. Thorne Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I believe the driver of that car was Paul Reinford. Never saw it run but saw it in the drag racing magazines at the time. For some reason, I remember it being a gold color. Anyway, where did the 3/4 ton GM rear end come from that you used?
Scott8950 Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Very nice build on a way cool car!!! Here is a pic of it
Hmann68 Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Super cool! The variety of cars in drag racing back then just amazes me. Nice work ?
