DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 I have a little more done on the bed. It is not finished yet, but getting closer. I'm trying to go for an old steel bed truck that has been repainted and found new life, maybe from someone who has decided to go into business for themselves. I will be doing some weathering inside and outside the bed. I also have to add the roll tarp.
gotnitro? Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Awesome work! Really like the damaged tailgate and wrinkled pan definitely tells a story of this trucks life
Tesla Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 It's good to see you back on this project. The dump body looks terrific!
TECHMAN Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 ??? Like Jeff said, the back end of that dump bed is just icing on the cake!!!! DJ
Sam I Am Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 On 9/10/2019 at 2:03 PM, DRIPTROIT 71 said: Thanks for all the comments guys! Yes, this is the same kit. I added the lift axle and modified the bed. If you decide that you need to let one of those kits go, let me know! ? The reason why I asked is that the dump truck that I am building without the bed was a two axle, and this one that I picked up many moons ago, is a three axle. So I wondered if there were two different issues.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 14, 2019 Author Posted September 14, 2019 I'm sure the one that you have has been modified too. The one that you have pictured is the Paystar version, but the bed and number of axles is the same in both.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 14, 2019 Author Posted September 14, 2019 Thanks for all of the comments. I have a little more done on the bed now.

The bed is finally mounted, cylinder was modified from the terrible kit cylinder to a little more accurate multi-stage cylinder, hitch plate made and mounted.
