Or do you know anyone who does one? (Before I start sawing plastic!) Hi Tom, right now I just have the 8ft box sides with tail light end caps and wheel wells. I believe you bought a set??? It doesn't take much to build the rest of the box. I was going to do a full box but need a pressure pot to get the bubbles out of the resin. I did an 8ft standard wheelbase 73-79 Ford box and am fighting bubbles so pressure pot is on the list for purchase and we will see how it goes.

Let me know if you need any pointers on building the box, I have built a couple now and would be happy to help out.
stavanzer Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Any hope of getting a longbed stepside bed, eventually? I need one for a '61 Chevy.
Tom Geiger Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Hey Bill! A funny thing... I went to the last NNL in Toledo this past weekend. And look what I pulled out of a junk box! I will most likely use your bed sides for my Steinbeck truck project, I'll save this box for another build! Note the rest of the body is trashed. Custom hood is okay but someone cut the doors out poorly, the door is way small in the opening!
bill lanfear Posted October 17, 2019 Author Posted October 17, 2019 Hey Tom, that is a great find! I am getting close on the bumpers and hope to have them available real soon! Glad you found a usable bed for a future project! Bill
Rob Hall Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Got my latest order today, only 2 days after ordering. Love the early '60s GMC parts. Got the engine and trim for an AMT truck conversion. The mirrors are very nice.
leafsprings Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Hi Bill, any timeline on when the small back window conversion for '60--'66 GM pickups will be available? Thanks again.

Thanks again. Hi Tom, at this time, I only have the surround for the window for inside and outside. I have difficulties getting large flat pieces to look good and not warp. With the surrounds, all that is needed is removal of the lip for the kit glass on the cab, a flat piece of 1mm styrene (supplied by the builder), cut out the hole for the window, and glue on the surrounds. It is the same surround pieces and method I used for my 64 GMC build and it worked well without much work. I used a piece of clear plastic from a container of sorts for the glass. I am about to offer several new items on the website (hopefully in a week or so) and the small window surrounds will be added as well. I hope the surrounds will satisfy the need for the small window conversion for everyone. Thanks Bill
bill lanfear Posted November 3, 2019 Author Posted November 3, 2019 I have been working on several items to release hopefully within the week. I know I have said this several times but little "issues" with a few items have delayed things a little. I appreciate everyone's patience as I finalize the last few things for this release. I wanted to post a "sneak peek" of the items set for this coming release so folks can begin the idea process for upcoming builds. Comments or inquiries are welcome. Thanks, Bill Diamond tread Ford style bumper. GM style wrap around step bumper. GM style wrap around bumper. (still working on the diamond tread) 60-66 Chevy/GMC west coast style mirrors, Small window insert for Revell 64-66 Chevy pickups. 73-75 Ford grill set. 76-77 Ford grill set. 74 Dodge grill (still cleaning it up a little) Dodge D200 (3/4 ton) hub cap. Modern police push bar. 70's style police push bar. Some mag wheels. Still need to make the spinners!
leafsprings Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Fanstastic items Bill ! Thanks for going the extra step in giving us pieces to improve current kits. The Dodge D200 tire wheel and hubcap assembly look perfect!
Ralph Henderson Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) Nice looking stuff as usual Bill! Where did you source the tires on that Dodge? Edited November 4, 2019 by Ralph Henderson

Ralph, the tires are from a 1/32 scale toy horse trailer i picked up at a flea market. The rim is one of my GM 6 lug wheels. I grabbed the spare tire from my 64 GMC and set the hubcap in place for the photo.
bill lanfear Posted November 10, 2019 Author Posted November 10, 2019 I have released several new products on the website, unfortunately a few items I showed in my last post didn't make the cut for this release as I am still not satisfied with them but are still a work in progress and hopefully will be ready soon. Thank you all for your support and patience as I whittle away at these issues before I release them. Most of the items did and they are available now. Any questions about items current or future are welcome. Bill On 10/10/2019 at 10:02 PM, alexis said: Any hope of getting a longbed stepside bed, eventually? I need one for a '61 Chevy. Sorry Alan, I didn't see your post until just now! I started on some fenders with the spare tire cutouts for short and long beds and have them mastered but haven't started on a bed or casting the fenders yet. Hopefully sometime in the future I can get something together.
bill lanfear Posted November 17, 2019 Author Posted November 17, 2019 So after visiting the wish list posted here, I decided to see if I could do some of what folks are asking for. (at least the easy stuff). As most of you know, my items are completely new models and are not recasts of old parts. I began with the Dodge D200 hub caps and have since started also on some Chevy ones that were mentioned. I created completely new Dodge grills as well as the repops available don't do it for me. I wanted to get some feedback on these few items before I offer them. If another caster is doing these and you feel theirs are better or just not needed, let me know cause I would rather focus on stuff not available or just needing remodeled. Many of you have sent me requests and they are not being ignored, I just have a lot of pokers in the fire. Some items are easier and can be done quickly while others are far more difficult to create and to get a good product in the end. Thank you all for your support and positive feedback you have given me since the beginning. I hope everyone is happy with the parts they have purchased from me. I am patiently waiting to see some projects with my parts being used. I have sold tons of items but have only seen Jim's 67 Ford with the new grill so far since July of this year and am wondering if there are problems with the parts or are they being stocked up for future builds. The items below are not available just yet...wanting some feedback first. THE TIRE IS FROM A TOY AND IS NOT AVAILABLE (sorry) , the rim in the photo is one of my GM 6 lug wheels available on the website. I thank all of you! Bill 67-??? Chevy hub cap. 73 - ???? Chevy hub cap. 72 Dodge grill 74 Dodge grill.
Lordmodelbuilder Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Nice looking parts Bill !! The 1st hubcaps would be 1969-72 truck, but have seen them later on the vans. The 2nd hubcaps would be 73-87 3/4 & 1-tons. The 1/2 tons only had 5 spokes, not 6. I have all those Dodge grills from original models. Will have to order yours to see how they compare.
wrenchr Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Looking very good Bill. I have a dodge truck that one of those grilles would look killer on. To answer your question, my parts bought so far are for a not started project. I will make sure to post pics once done / in progress, the dodge is almost finished though and that would get posted quick. Might snag the dodge hubcaps as well.
Rob Hall Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Those new parts look great. The parts I've bought so far are for future projects. I'm very slow at getting around to building anything.
Fabrux Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Like the others, Bill, I am rather slow building these days. Although some of your newest parts will make their way to me soon! ?
Tom Geiger Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 I'll have to chime in with the choir. I am excited to have your parts for my 1960 GMC project. I just haven't kicked it off yet. Still trying to get two projects off the bench to clear it off!
1930fordpickup Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Bill if I see something I like that is aftermarket I buy it because if you wait you may never see it again. Even if it is just for an idea that may change. If I don't have the cash I try and get it when I can. Some may call that collecting or hording but I have wanted things I seen years ago that are no longer around. I waited until I had time to do the project but the parts vanished. LOL

LOL Yup, I wanted quite a few modelhaus kits and never bought them. Big mistake on my part.
