vamach1 Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 This one is almost done. I need the gumball light, hood twist lock declas and to add some Mustang scripts. I used engine parts from the kit along with some non Boss 429 parts to make it resemble the real car that used for police duty in Japan. I may some police equipment to the interior too. The graphics are hand painted.
Mike74RR Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 You showed this to me at the MAMA's meeting and asked if I knew where to get the gumball short of buying an older police kit, I had no idea it would look this cool.

Thanks. It was a fun fairly quick build that has some paint flaws but since it's a old cop car it should not look like a new car. I made the gold grille emblem from the front part of an alternator. spencer1984 Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 I always liked this color scheme, and it looks great on a Mustang. Nicely done!
rustybill1960 Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 A rather pleasing oddity I like this no idea it existed I may have to consider adding this to my police pursuit builds Thank You for sharing with Us here Later Russ
fumi Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Nice build. If anyone is interested this car was donated to the Tochigi Prefecture Police by the local co-op of the Japan Agricultural Cooperatives in 1973 for highway patrol duty, when the Tohoku Expressway was opened, and was in service until 1984. It had a reputation of being very fast, but also very thirsty. Another famous highway patrol car of Tochigi was the first gen NSX, donated by Honda.
