Silver Foxx Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Built from Esci rally car kit , lowered stance to make race version , weber carbs added , Tamiya paint .
Gramps46 Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Sweet build. Got a little air intake in the headlamp bucket there.
Brianl Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Mate they have turned out so well. Always loved your club racers. Escorts, webers and minilites, how good does it get Brian
afx Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 (edited) Another nice Escort Bruce. It's nice to have this kit back in production. I recently picked up a resin trans-kit of the Monte Carlo Tarmac Special. The body is nicely cast but the rear fender shape isn't quite right. Edited August 25, 2019 by afx
Dann Tier Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Love these cars!, and yours looks OUTSTANDING!!!!
zakdoggi Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Nice job Bruce. Looks better as a Tarmac racer than it does as a rally car. Love the air grilles in the headlight and on bonnet. And colour suits very well.

They were never very successful on tarmac (asphalt) thus the birth of the Monte Carlo Tarmac Special. The RS1600 (Mk I Escort) was a better circuit racer. That being said I still really like Bruce's builds. Edited August 28, 2019 by afx
