Hi there,

does anyone know if Michael is still active in selling those nice gauge decals?

The bestmodelcarparts shop is still online on Ebay but it carries "0 items". I can't seem to find any website of him either...

Any feedback will be appreciated!

Hi Tommy, I just looked on eBay and he has a lot of stuff out there.  You might want to check bestmodelcarparts again.

Tommy, I literally just got a set of gauge decals ('67 Coronet) from him the other day. I also happen to have his '57 VW Beetle trans kit which is absolutely EXCELLENT. ?

If you check here, this is all the items he's got listed at the moment.

Thanks Bill, but your ebay link actually brings „0 items“ aswell. I have a hunch that this is because of my German location. Maybe shipping abroad is deactivated in his shop and therefore abroad clients cannot see any items, who knows? Now that I know he is still doing business, I will find a way to contact him. Thanks again!

I've previously bought from him on ebay and had the items shipped to scotland. He may have deactivated international due to all the delays caused by covid

Tommy, somewhere on the page there should be a link where you can drop him a line (go to his feedback). Maybe he can make an exception and send what you need? That could be the case that he had to drop international shipping for a time as Les mentioned.

Sent him a message earlier this evening, here's his response

Geoff-

Thank you for contacting me and I do appreciate that we have worked together in the past. I have stopped shipping worldwide due to many orders not reaching the destination or were returned to me altogether, leaving me out the cost of the merchandise and the shipping fees.

I am willing to try filling orders on a case by case basis. I didn’t know that you would not be able to see my listings. I don’t know if you are using ebay.com or a local version of ebay to Europe. This is a link to my store listings on ebay.com and hopefully this will help you out.

I am also sending a product list of sorts of my 1/24-1/25 scale gauges, and I can do something similar for the license plates and larger scale gauges if you would like. Once we work out what you would like to order, I can set up a special listing for you. Overseas shipping with tracking is $15.

Thanks, Michael

Are those gauge decals similar to the ones  https://www.ebay.com/str/bestbalsakits from Belgium sells?

Best Mode Car Parts' 1952 Pontiac station wagon. No personal connection to this, just leaving it here for future (and current) reference. Looks like a nicely done conversion. https://www.ebay.com/itm/194512054897?hash=item2d49d26a71:g:ZbEAAOSwalde5COv

All of Michael's kits are well done.  He is committed to accuracy.  I have seen how he develops the masters for his bodies and parts.  Lots of work in the Pontiac dash alone.  Look at the radio speaker.
