tbill Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Well, the boys had built themselves a race car. Once the car was built, they needed a way to haul it and all the race related tools/parts and what not to the track, but needed something cheap ( blew the budget on the race car) After some networking, they found an old ford race rig, problem was, the cab got crushed by a tree years ago. Well, they set off to go look at it. The hauler body was in good shape, but the cab and hood were toast, but a deal was struck, and they dragged it home. After some junk yard searching and internet surfing they found a cab on a dump truck in decent shape, but missing a door. Craigslist turned up a good door, and a local town auction provided the hood. The boys got it running and patched back together , it’s ready to roll again......

tbill Posted November 10, 2019 Author Posted November 10, 2019 Thanks for the kind words everyone. I was quite disappointed when I originally started this build, as the paint job just went haywire, but I’m pleased with the way it worked out in the long run. Originally this was going to be metallic blue, radical departure I’d say, haha.
Bills72sj Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 I have one of these in the queue. I like your color creativity and "story".
tbill Posted December 4, 2019 Author Posted December 4, 2019 Thanks guys, I’m glad I finished rather than sticking it back in the box .
mikemodeler Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 That looks great Tom, not everyone can show up at the track in a $150,000 toter home setup!
