Completed my box art build of Revell's 65 Impala finished with Tamiya rattle can Silver Leaf with Testor's Wet Look Clear over that.

Went together rather well except I did have a little trouble with the finicky rear end assembly. I forgot to add a drop of dish soap to the decal water so I was unable to get the left side pinstripes to slide into the correct position.

Thanks for looking and any comments welcome.

This is really clean looking. I like the "Cal Custom" looking rocker covers, I had those on my '66 back when. The paint finish is great looking. An aside on the Decals. I notice the decal  "409" emblems on  the front fenders. The Engine here is representing the introduction of the new "396" Engine to the Chevrolet line.

Thanks David. I should of done my research on that! I do wish they would have included the 396 decals.

If you should want to correct that minor issue a couple of kits that could supply you with the 396 emblems include the Revell '66 El Camino and Station wagon.
