Pete68 Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 This is my entry for the BRBO. It’s a AITM Mack RL700LS with a AITM Mercury Sleeper. I have also added some Don Mills 5 hole Alcoa wheels to the front with Herb Deeks rubber tires. The frame is a doner from a Monogram Mack R that will be modified. I’m uncertain about the rear wheels at this time I might go with 5 hole Alcoa or 5 hole Steel. This will have a pre 1973 dash in it casted by AITM. Here’s a parts layout and a small mock up. Enjoy the pics.
tbill Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 That’s cool, look forward to seeing this come together
JerseeJerry55 Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 Looking forward to it. R-700/RL-700’s were cool.
Sam I Am Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 Time to tag everyone's build so I can follow along. ?
Pete68 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 Well it was beautiful day today so I prep the cab/hood and cut the bottom of the fenders off so the step box would fit also got some white paint on it this evening right before it started turning cold enjoy the pics
gotnitro? Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Very nice start ! Cant believe the detail on the 1/32 cab , looking forward to your updates
Pete68 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 Thanks Jeff these little guys can fool you
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 I'm liking what you do with these 1/32 trucks!
Pete68 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 Thanks Brian I’m so burned out on 1/25. These are great space savers too
Tesla Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Really looking forward to watching this progress!
Pete68 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Did some frame work today on the Mack. I used some styrene to stretch the frame and make a cross member
Oldmopars Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 1/32 looks great, but my fingers have a hard time with the Italeri 1/24 scale stuff. I'm glad you can work on these smaller trucks. I love the armor stuff too, but there is no 1/24 armor, only 1/35 and I just can't get my fingers to work. This is going to be a great truck when you're done.
Pete68 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Thanks Scott I had to move up the this scale because of my hands and eyes I also build armored vehicles in 1/35-32.
Vince66 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) Pete you know that truck frame of yours could be a landing port for my BRBO build hehehehehehe. Edited January 6, 2020 by NothingAsFineAsaW9
Pete68 Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Vincent. That’s funny I give up on that small stuff Mark. Thanks for the complement and stopping by
Vince66 Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Pete at the rate I'm going and my truck source is drying up I may be joining you in the 1/32 arena. Just getting to hard to find the smaller trucks without paying a fortune for them and I know you know what I'm talking about.. Following this build

Pete68 Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 Thanks Brian hope to get allot of progress this weekend
Vince66 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Is that 5th wheel sitting to far forward or you plan on moving it back. As it looks like your trailer landing gear might snag the frame rear. Just a thought Lee.
Pete68 Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 Thanks I’ve been thinking a lot about the plate you maybe right we will find out
kilrathy10 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 This is serious, Man... Very nice work....
