dragmodels44 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Hey guys, I wanted to post this one, as I had started this about a year ago, or longer. I didn’t do great detail, but added a few things. Ignition wires and a photo etched racing steering wheel. I concentrated on the colors and paint detail. One more done...one to go! Thanks for looking.
Steamboat Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Man, that looks great. Beautiful paint work!
gtx6970 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Nice. I've always that was one of the best looking cars of the period. Who makes the decals for this car ?
2zwudz Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Nice job!! The engine looks nice! What did you use for the blower belt???
Chitown Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Great work! The Dutchmans' cars were always interesting and a bit left of center.
dragmodels44 Posted February 23, 2020 Author Posted February 23, 2020 Thanks guys, the decals were gofer racing and I used masking tape that I painted black then added a decal to it.
mustang1989 Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) That paint job on that car turned out fantastic Steve! That engine looks really good too! Where'd you source the blower belt from? Edited February 23, 2020 by mustang1989
dragmodels44 Posted February 23, 2020 Author Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) Thanks, that is just masking tape cut to size, painted with a sharpie and a decal from a Slixx decal contingency sheet for the lettering on the belt. Also, after looking at pics of the car I noticed the blower hat was different. It looked like a Scot blower scoop, which is a resin piece. Comp resins, I think. Edited February 23, 2020 by dragmodels44 Added something
GoodbuildNY Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Super sharp and clean, I really like it
