ranma Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 What is the expected wait time when you order a kit from them? I ordered the '68 Impala on Jan 30,2020.....
Rob Hall Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) Last couple of orders I've had from them took about 5-6 weeks... Edited February 20, 2020 by Rob Hall
ranma Posted February 20, 2020 Author Posted February 20, 2020 Thanks Rob, That's what I needed to know....
BubbaBrown Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 This saturday will mark 9 weeks for my order but I did tell him I was not in a rush.
Snake45 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 My order arrived in 2-3 weeks, maybe even less. I remember I was pleased and surprised.
jas1957 Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I have purchased resin & paint from him, 3-4 weeks is usual but I have received stuff in less than 2 weeks.

Send him an email. I had one order that got lost in the pile last summer and when I hit him up he sent it right away.
rickcaps55 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Send him an email I have ordered many many kits over the last 15 years from him and I have never had them take more than 4 weeks most times I had it with 2 weeks it may have been lost.
SfanGoch Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 MCW has a different owner now; so, the "him" to whom you are referring isn't the same "him" you dealt with in the past.

Yes, and it specifically says on their site: Please bear with us. We are adding casting capacity and an employee to fill orders They did have a message on the site a while back saying they were retooling various resin kits and that it would take extra time on resin orders. Tom Geiger Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Joe, the owner of MCW is Michael Guest. He first took on the paint business a while back and got the resin business from Dave Dodge about a year ago. He registered as an NNL East vendor last year, then cancelled saying he had to concentrate on getting the resin business off the ground. I inquired this year and he responded like the website says, he’s added some help to catch up with the demand. It’s admirable that he’s putting waiting customers first, before attending the show.
Rob Hall Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Just got a shipping notice email from MCW for my order from 2/13, which is definitely faster than orders from late 2019.
2zwudz Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 I ordered two resins from them in January and I haven’t received anything as of today.
