Rbray47 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 That's not a typo. This one began as a Revell/Monogram 71 GTX, and was built that way. However, it was damaged when I moved (tire marks in paint, missing parts) so I fixed it with what I had on hand. I couldn't part it out (like so many others) as its the first kit my wife bought for me. I contoured the nose to fit a 71 Charger grill. It has a hood somewhere, but I'm not done building a scoop yet.
TooOld Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Now that's different , and I might be crazy but I kinda like the look ! Nice work !
Rbray47 Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 Thanks! The paint is Testors metallic blue (I forget which one) over Tamiya aluminum.
1972coronet Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Looks really cool , man ! Reminds me of some of the "hybrid" cars that were assembled in and for South America or Afrika ; lots of Dodge / Plymouth combos around there . Keep it up !
espo Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Great looking paint and the front end you added looks like they could or should have done it that way.
rickcaps55 Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Nice that really does look good that would have made a nice option for that year .!!
