High_On_Fries Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 I shared this hobby with my old man, who was a member here a long time ago (62SS), and when he died about 10 years ago, I gave it all up. Well now with the quarantine, and having a son due to arrive here in a week or so, I figured I’d give modeling another shot. This is my first one since 2009. Thanks for looking, guys. Kit is an AMT ‘66 Buick Skylark Modified Stocker. Racing wheels and tires from the AMT Pinto modified. Floater wheel & tire from an AMT ‘50 Ford kit. Steering wheel, shifter, air cleaner, valve covers, breathers, and fire extinguisher out of a mid 90’s AMT NASCAR kit. Pre-wired distributor from Parts by Parks & Detail Master hood pins. Decals were from miscellaneous kit & aftermarket sheets. Paint is Testors Italian Red lacquer, and weathering was done with Tamiya weathering sticks. Thanks again.
Snake45 Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Very cool! You don't see these actually built that often. Model on!

TarheelRick Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Very nice looking build, especially from the dog you started with. Really convincing weathering.
stavanzer Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 That looks like the "Bomber Stock" rides I remember seeing in Phoenix back in the 1980's. Great Build.
Nacho Z Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Welcome back to the hobby, Will! I’m happy to see you building again. The Buick turned out great, you obviously haven’t lost your touch. I’m already looking forward to seeing your next project!
