Somebody has too much money on their hands.  $280, 000 to be more precise.  With the bonus of it being ugly too.

I'm a modest watch collector myself (about 15 watches, some very good vintage pieces, mostly automatics) and even if I had 280,000 spare dollars this monstrosity would never come anywhere near my wrist. I appreciate the technical achievement but just because you can do something doesn't mean you should!

I suppose it's a little more eco-friendly than simply setting fire to a pile of 20s.   As was pointed out in Jalopnik,  you could get this Cadillac with a real V-16 for just shy of $210K, and I imagine you could get an original issue Visible V-8 and a pretty nice watch with the change.

Or you could get this V-16 for $45K, and a house

I don't want to hate on things that are neato and built with care...but hoo boy. Sometimes, I just want a blobby year-2000 GPS unit with sparkly moving pistons inside to cradle on my hairless wrist while I make engine noises...ya know? 280 grand is a total steal for that kind of bliss and status.

On a less snarky note, that patina'd ~'31 Cadillac V16 is sweet!!

It looks interesting, and though I can respect the price tag for something so technical, paying $280K for a watch isn’t quite high on my to-do list. Although I could say that I got a Bugatti Chiron for under $300,000...

The car.....brilliant engineering.     The watch..again brilliant engineering    but......tasteless over expensive bling!

No doubt far eastern copies will be available soon!
