KW Dump

Well, I’ve picked my next victim. So far during the plague I’ve built 3 rigs and 4 trailers, this kit has been above my bench for quite some time, and I look at it often. Since the freight liner and tanker is done, I needed another project and decided this is the one. I’ll probably break the seal on this tomorrow......

I fully intend to document my progress right here in this thread? . I’ve been staring at this box for a couple of years now, it’s now time to crack it open and hopefully do it justice. Stay tuned for progress....

Ooo nice looking dump!! Didn’t know that kit existed!!

Well I cracked it open and started on it. Parts are molded in blue, kind of a greenish/white, chrome and that weird metallic gray/silver. I got the mold lines off the cab and hood and painted them in testors blazing black. Got a good start on the frame and put a coat of clear on all the box chrome parts. Will probably have another update later on tonight.

Color looks sharp on that!!! With that chrome dump box backing it up... OHHHh BOOYYYY!!!!

Oh yeah that's gonna be sick !!!  That blazin black is gonna compliment the chrome box perfectly

Chugging along on this, got a bunch of stuff done today ( probably because I lost track of time while at the bench ). The kit tires are more street tire and kinda skinny, so I dug thru my stash of tires and found some that look way better ( to me anyway), so here are some random pics of today’s progress.

Huge improvement on those tires !  Now it will look like a real dump truck

The tires were made by Double Take Replicas, but last I knew, KJ wasn’t making parts anymore. I was fortunate enough to stock up on various parts from him.
