That was my plan if I use these wheels. The red and black is just bare plastic, so wanted to see how well the wheels and tires fit the car.

Here are some mock-ups based on some of your posts. The wheels used are some Bob Dudek five-slots, Pegasus Lancers, a set of parts box Fujimi five spokes, and Pegasus Chrome reverse wheels.

Another thought. As Tom Geiger pointed out using the chassis from one of the later Dart kits could solve any chassis issues. This may mean buying another kit or trade with someone this would also give you some stock wheel and tires that may give you the look you're after. I think if nothing else consider seeing if you can get the stock wheels and tires from one of these kits. I just looked at the '68 Dart Hemi 2'n1 by Revell in my pile. The stock wheel and hub cab combination gives the look of a 5 spoke mag with exposed lug nuts and a size tire that might be small enough to fit on your wheel openings and should represent a 70 series tire.

Since the Lancers were kind of an economy car, why not try some steel wheels and early 60s dog dishes?

Good idea.

There are many pics of this car on line with the poverty caps.

Another good option that might suite this car better than a spoked wheel is a set of chrome reverse wheels and moon caps.

Personally, my taste is gravitating toward these two selections, depending on the route you're going with the build. The black and red rims obviously being painted different colors, the outside being brushed aluminum, to compliment the body color.

That's what I'm talking about, I like them both.

If you use the pegasus lancers with belflower exhaust and paint you'd have a pretty neat mild custom and its a great way to use up left over paint

Steve

Which takes us back to the Deora kit - later issues have those baby moon reversed wheels. Plus you get a nicely dressed-up Slant Six in the bargain.

The baby moons from the Deora kit...

I once had a bunch of Deora kits I bought for the slant 6 engines.. but procrastination is my friend! Polar Lights came out with the 64 Dodge and Plymouth with the best slant ever in a kit. So I sold off the sealed Deoras.
