Nazz Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Here are some pics of the '68 Cutlass I've been working on for some time. The kit is a '69 converted to a '68 with Modelhaus parts. The interior has been converted to an automatic. The car will be a representation of the Cutlass from the " Corner Gas" sit com. Comments welcome as always. I hope you like it so far.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 I'm liking it!! Since finishing my '68 W-30, I have really developed a soft spot for the '68. Steve

StevenGuthmiller Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I do need to ask how you did your vinyl top. It's very convincing and nicely done! Steve

Steve Steve, I used a product suggested by a friend called Croun suede finish over which I airbrushed Testors semigloss black emamel. Unfortunately this product is not available any longer. Thanks for the complement. More progress as soon as life stops getting in the way.

Nazz Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Yes Charlie, the show was Canadian. This is the car from the show.
Nazz Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Here is a pic of the engine and the chassis. More to come. Thanks for looking . Comments welcome as usual. Jerry
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 (edited) Nice work Jerry!! Which kit did the tires and wheels come from? Looks like a nice set! Steve Edited June 20, 2020 by StevenGuthmiller
Nazz Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Hey Steve, the wheels are the AMT '58 Chevy kit and the tires are Modelhaus. I don't remember the number for the tires. I thing they are reproduction MPC Goodyears. I had a set in my '69 GTO kit. Thanks for the interest. Jerry
Modlbldr Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Very nice looking build Jerry! The work you're putting into it is paying off. Later-
Spottedlaurel Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 It's coming together very nicely, the extra detailing you've put into the engine looks the part.

I should have guessed that the tires were Modelhaus. They make such nice stuff! Steve
