michelle Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 (edited) this is the amt 71 duster street machine kit which i got a week ago in the mail i swaped the front seats out with more racing bucket seats since i felt they fit the feel of the car and i added a sun roof and i tried to replicate the plymouth rts caravan duster's custom paint job i used testors extreme lacquer lime ice and testors extreme lacquer mystic emerald the black on the hood is the primer i put down first then asked off everything but that center hood bulge and pianted it then after words i clear coated the entire hood so the black primer would become shiney Edited June 11, 2020 by michelle
Tom Geiger Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Looks great! Funny thing, I bought those two colors at Hobby Lobby on Saturday. One of them will wind up on the Jeepster I’m working on

BlackSheep214 Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Nice color scheme. I had thought about picking up the Dusty kit at Hobby Lobby when I went there a week or so ago. Any fit issues or quirks I should be aware of?

This is a kit that AMT tooled up in the 1990s. It is a full detail kit and I use this chassis for my old Valiant builds. People say the body has some challenges, and that the original annuals had better scale fidelity.
