Jim B Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 I started this kit back in March, and I put the finial details on it today. It's not perfect, but it's done. I did learn that painting the "Goodyear" on the tires is easier with a toothpick than a 10/0 brush. I had quite a bit of fit issues with the kit, but I muddled through & got it done. The sponsor decals are not included on the AMT decal sheet (although they probably should be), and they came from the Revell 1969 dodge Charger R/T kit; while the "AMT" decal came from the AMT 1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air kit (I think). Now I need the AMT Ford LN8000 Race Car Hauler to put it on. ? 1
Jonathan Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Bumping this to the top - I like your build. The white on the decals looks nice and opaque - you used just the one sheet that came with the kit? (besides adding your own sponsor decals, as you mentioned?) It looks great!
ABNSPR Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 Good looking car. Someday I’ll build one. Have read that the front suspension is a bear.
Sam I Am Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 You definitely won that battle. Great looking car!
alan barton Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 I've built all three of the Chrysler kit cars and they are definitely challenging. Good to see you stuck with it to the end. I love the patriotic paintjob - perfect for the era. Cheers Alan
TECHMAN Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 ??? Awesome job on the build!!! Really like the "Captain America" type paint job!!! Those are tough to do, but your's is first class!!! DJ
