Matt Bacon Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Very nice kit out of the box, but that V12 deserves a bit of TLC in the shape of detailing, wires, hoses etc to reproduce the fiendishly complicated real thing! best, M.
Jim N Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Looks great! The paint, finish and detail is outstanding.
Tommy124 Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 (edited) Nice result. Good paint job on the "Morocco Red" and I especially like the work on the V12. As you said, it takes quite some effort to replicate that "chaos" in the engine bay. What is the reason why you didn't do the orange/ red lights in front/ rear bumpers? Funkychiken Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Hey Matt, that's a stunning and realistic looking Jag!
beeRS Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Absolutely stunning. I think Hasagawa really got the proportions of the XJS dead right. The ride height is perfectly correct too.
Matt Bacon Posted July 9, 2020 Author Posted July 9, 2020 Thanks very much, guys. Since I took these pictures, thanks to helpful advice, I’ve added the missing lights in the black parts of the bumpers, and painted the lower front spoiler lip black, since it turns out that’s also flexible rubber. Next time I get the photo setup out, I’ll take a couple of pics of the official “final” version! Thanks again, best, M.
RAMBENNA Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 very nice, great job. I have been wanting to build one of these. your is an inspiration .
Matt Bacon Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Thank you, gentlemen. I fixed a couple of errors: the lower spoiler is rubber, and there are lights in the bumpers that I missed painting. Thanks to those folks that pointed them out. FINALLY finished now... best, M.
doorsovdoon Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Looking really nice! I've always liked the XJS. Used to see them everywhere, then they just disappeared almost over night.
