Dale Gribble Posted July 17, 2020 Author Posted July 17, 2020 (edited) Got my pink flocking here , working on wheels choices . No matter , I’ll have to widen the track for any wheel I choose as the kit tires are supposed to be super wide , but they are also super gone . Edited July 17, 2020 by Dale Gribble

Spottedlaurel Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 I glimpsed this in the background of another of your photos and wondered what it was. Good luck with it! Certainly looks it can take some decent-size wheels. Was there a real one? Supervan to me in the UK means a mutant Ford Transit, they did several one-off versions of it over the years.
bigdrag1 Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Built by Barris in the 70`s, it was known as The Love Machine..
cobraman Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 It was also featured in the movie " Supervan". A 1977 movie. I believe it had a different paint job.

Correct , it’s been in several different movies , here’s more than you could ever want to know about it , although for pics of the different paint you will have to use your Google-fu ... https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archive/Event/Item/1966-DODGE-TRADESMAN-A-100-BARRIS-CUSTOM-SUPERVAN-188806

Bucky Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I have an old unpainted built-up of the Supervan. Bought the kit in Birmingham 30 years ago for $5. There were about 5 of those kits in that hobby shop. Wish I had grabbed them all. I built it without painting it. I may pull that one out for a rebuild. I'll be watching this project for tips!
Dale Gribble Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 Added the spoilers , working on getting them fitted to the body and molded in . Also cleaned up all the mold line and began fitting the door . All the paint should arrive this week , blue on bottom to purple to hot pink on top. Covering all of that in HOK ultra mini rainbow flake and DuPont 2k clear . 1
Spottedlaurel Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 That looks perfect! Love the TV/audio set-up.

Bucky Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Fade looks good. Seems like that would be hard to do.
Goose1957 Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 This is really looking good. Can't wait to see it finished. Jeff
