Doug 1061 Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 The latest from my bench. Started it back in March. I am a slow builder. It did get shelved for a bit after I lost the piece that holds the horn and brake lines. Tried to contact Tamiya, no luck. West coast still closed. So improvised and made it work. I am happy with how it came out. This is the first Tamiya kit I ever built, wont be the last. Very nice kit. Was nice to not have re engineer half of it to make it work. Colors are Model Master stoplight red and Classic White.
Jim B Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Nice little bike. I've seen YouTube videos of people riding these around. The new ones are essentially Honda Groms with different styling.
shoopdog Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Very nice build and great setting for your pics.
James2 Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Nicely done! I really like how clean and natural it looks in this setting, well done.
Dave Van Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Nice neat work!!! Is that what we called a 'Trail 50'?? We had a 50 and the bigger 'Trail 70' when we were kids.
Doug 1061 Posted August 23, 2020 Author Posted August 23, 2020 Thanks for the positive comments guys. Dave, this is a 125cc Monkey. Honda just came out with this last year I believe. With a price tag of $3,600 I don't see them selling in large numbers. It is a neat bike though. Same engine as a Honda Grom. I remember the old Z50 and Trail 70 and 90. I wanted one but no way mom and pop would let me get one. I likely woulda killed myself on it.
Dragline Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Could pass for real if you photoshopped the screw heads out. That's how nice it is.
