Husky1943 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 I just wanted to show off my '48 with a pretty model helping to accentuate the car! This is after she was primed and ready to actually paint. The toothpick in her head is to hold her while painting (because her feet were too tiny to attach anything to). Next, she is painted mostly - just had to do the rest of the clothing (always painting the way that you would get dressed - flesh first, then pants, shirt, etc.) Now, she is posing with the brand-new Ford. Thoughts and comments are welcome. Hope you like them
svend66b@gmail.com Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Great build! Both models look VERY good?
Husky1943 Posted August 29, 2020 Author Posted August 29, 2020 Thanks Bjarne! I like adding the human element to the model (for scale, at least), and also for context.
doorsovdoon Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 That's cool. The scale is just right too. I look for things like this at craft shops and such, like fuel pumps or street lights, but they either look too toy like or way out of scale.
Husky1943 Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 Thanks David, Gareth and Paul! Actually, I was thinking of doing other 1/24th figures. Easier on the eyes than other scales. If the ladies can wait...I will try and make their wait worthwhile.
Dave Van Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Figures are tough....you did above average for sure!!!! Is that a Master Box figure??
Husky1943 Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 Thanks Dave! Yes, it was the Master Box figure. Good eye. I just wanted to add a human dimension to the model.
