This really turned out great. The body color now has more of a blue cast to it. On the Ignition wires you might see if there are any prewired distributer kits around. Many like to do their own but just as many go with the prewired ones and everything is to scale that way.

Nice looking t-bird mate. If you can spring for it the cheap booths on amazon work well at getting the fumes out for spraying indoors. I use mine in my front room and theres no fumes to bother anyone

Thanks, guys. I'd love to use ready made ignition wires but 1/25 Distributors and even the wires are non existent in the UK. I have an extractor fan in a kind of makeshift box in my shed and a car headlight running off a 12V car battery, it's just the cold that holds me back when painting.

hiroboy have wire mate, sometimes they have distributors too but i tend to get mine from australia (bnl modelworld) or brasil (mr model) as the exchange rates half the cost even with shipping.

Thanks. I just checked out the site and 90% of his stock is sold out.

Gareth, I recommend the "Pro Tech" plug wire. I just started using it and love it. Just the right size and has the right "weight" to it .

Save your phone wire to make plug boots with.  one length of wire is enough to do about 4 engines.

But, of corse, you could go old school and find some "wrapping wire". It was originally used by electronics hobbyists making their own circuit boards.

It's 30 gauge and comes in a lot of colours.  But it's getting a bit hard to find.

BTW, love the paint on the T-bird. That colour looks like what Hot Wheels collectors call "ice blue".

I actually like these cars, especially the '67-'69s.

I'll check it out, but I have some old headphone wire here which is extremely fine. I doubt I'll go into this much detail on my next build anyway, but we'll see.

Got the interior detailed today but ran out of paint to do the dash, I have to buy a whole can just for that small piece. The interior is automatic style but has a manual gearbox, there's also no shifter included in the kit so I used one from my spares. The engine is in and I wanted to see if I could fit anything else in the engine bay, so I looked through my parts tin and found a spare steering box, not sure if this car had a box or rack but it's better than nothing, and I found some heater hoses which are actually headers off the Squad Rod. There's also a washer bottle in there and I scratch built a brake master cylinder. I'm trying out some solder to make some brake line. It's just a single line but again looks better than nothing. oh, and I scratch built an interior mirror using chrome sprue and added door mirrors using spot lights, they look like bullet style mirrors and work well.

Interior finished. I cut out some wood effect sheet for the door pull trim and the dash clocks. I also decided to change the automatic shifter for a manual four on the floor. All that's left now is to put it all together and post some pics in completed section:)

That looks great. Nice and shiny.

Thanks, Tim. I used lacquer on this one and gave it a polish, probably the way I'll go with all my kits from now on.
