Model started off as something to do while on vacation in Montreal a few years ago

completed it a few weeks ago

supposed to look old and that  but this is how it ended up turning out

I like that! It looks like it was brush painted with some household paint fifty years ago and the paint has been slowly flaking off since. I brush painted a 1-1 car years ago and about a year later it started flaking and looking almost exactly like this!

Nice looking little Chevy. The finish looks like a car that has had to spend its life out in the elements in stead of a garage.

Love it.  In my mind that's what the one I built last year looked at when my guy bought it and customized it.  He started with something like that and ended up with a shiny car.   Great looking build.  I appreciate builds like this more and more.   Keeps modeling fun after you might have built these models a time or two previously.

Next weather job ill do will be with the salt method. I was fun working on this while on vacation a few years ago.
