Classicgas Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 The AMT Chrysler 300C. This was painted the same method as my 70 Challenger, white base instead of Aluminum Metallizer, and a different color stain.
streetmachine11 Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 looks really clean! you did a real nice job
doorsovdoon Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Beautiful looking build, that colour really pops.
espo Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Beautiful looking paint finish and all of the chrome trim is very clean looking. You have mentioned your method of painting with wood stain ? I would like to learn more about how you're doing this.
TransAmMike Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Very nice, another great paint job. I don't understand the "stain" thing though.
Classicgas Posted November 8, 2020 Author Posted November 8, 2020 (edited) Look at my challenger post. It explains what I did. Never do it again lol. Thanks btw. Edited November 8, 2020 by Classicgas
BeakDoc Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Wow. That painting technique certainly works on her. Maybe the best built up ‘57 Chrysler I’ve seen. Just beautiful.
GeeBee Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Superb build, these AMT models are a pleasure to build.
dimaxion Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 (edited) This looks so familiar . I did a Tribute Replica of this Same Car . Gaugin Red from MCW . I super detailed it with overspray and bare steel Floorboards as Mother Mopar and ALL of Detroit did for the '57 MY of Huge Sales , Overtime , no line shut downs , lack of QC and the most detrimental factor . Hiring ; Butchers , Bakers and Candlestick Makers to build cars filling the Void of Employee needed to slap these together . Good Read , Motor Trend Contest , "why I won't buy a New '59 MY Detroit Car . The best (worst) epitaph of a recent Big 3 Purchase won a Foreign Car from the Rag . AMC and Sudebaker did not register any entries . This is sure a Gem . Thanx .. Edited November 15, 2020 by dimaxion
