Chris V Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) Let me add a new issue to the list: Apparently Ebay is now blocking European users from bidding on and purchasing model kits from stateside sellers, even if the items are explictly listed with Ebay international shipping available. I contacted Ebay’s customer service about the issue and got a completly nosensical reply about a recent policy change restricting the sales of electronic devices. Edited January 25 by Chris V 1

Yeah, their human resources are, let's just say, somewhat underwhelming, and the automated "responses" and chatbots are usually useless.
Tom Geiger Posted January 25 Posted January 25 There is a new registration to sell to Germany called LUCID. Sellers need to register for this. eBay may be blocking non complying sellers for all of eBay Europe

Dave Van Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I have not sold on ebay for 10 years. I did a lot of sales at one time. Now I see why. ebay offered me $15 if I'd sell one item. Listed a model kit OOP. It sold for $40. My final return after fees etc??Less than $30.....Now I recall why I stopped. 4
Dragline Posted Tuesday at 01:13 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:13 AM This will sound like a brag. Maybe a little. I stopped being a comic book dealer in 95. My partner and I split up our inventory. He opened a shop (still operating) , and I went to eBay. I sold about 280,000 dollars of what I had between 1997 and 2009. In that time I had nearly NO bad sales or returns. I had great feedback. When I put an item up it often got bids right away. I know the business inside and out. I know what's hot and all that. After 30 years of doing it I was on point. When the Buy It Now BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH started I knew the end was near. Even the going public really didn't have an effect. Right away. Then the bottom dropped out. Fees skyrocketed. They dropped PayPal as a first source of payment. They initiated their own payment back end. The drop shippers came aboard and I could feel it all slipping away. The tax thing came into being and I left. I became a buyer only and have loved happily (mostly) ever after. eBay was the golden goose. Then they slayed it right in front of me. 3
