ksnow Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 I have a few models to put in plastic cases. How many of you guys use the little twist tie things to secure the model to the base?
SCRWDRVR Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 I only use them if I think it will be moved around a lot, but generally I don't and I stack them 7 high.
Plowboy Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 If you have several models, it's cheaper and better to buy one of the Carney displays. They'll hold 21 models and cost $115 plus shipping. They're really nice. I have 5 of them and getting ready to buy a 6th.

ksnow Posted December 1, 2020 Author Posted December 1, 2020 Thanks guys. I had a few cases left from when I quit building. I will look into the bigger display cases and start saving my pennies.
shoopdog Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Here's a link for my go to cases, I have three (a 32,36 and 21 car) and could use at least another. https://www.casesforcollectibles.com/cartruckcases.html
vintagerpm Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 I always use the individual cases and use the twist ties as much as possible. Very easy to transport to shows when tied down to the case. Even use them with armor models.

TransAmMike Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Great post with the website Keith. I've been looking for something like that for some time now.
cobraman Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I only use those cases when I build a model to give to someone and then I do use wire to tie them down.
