avidinha Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 A friend gave me the resin body and bumpers. I used an AMT '67 Impala for the interior glass and chassis. The wheels are from a Revell Escalade and the tires are from Pegesus.
Tom Geiger Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Very nice! I have noticed a lot of interest in the big Chevys of this era, saw several kits on eBay in the $2-300 range.
the other Mike S. Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 (edited) I love the smooth fastback shape on those models. Beautiful color and even the huge wheels look great! Edited December 7, 2020 by the other Mike S.
AMT68 Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 That's a really nice paint job and great color. Like the accuracy of the front grill. I've always been fond of the '68 fastback Impala so it's a pleasure to see this one..
Koellefornia Kid Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Very nice looking Impala! Tasty color and cool wheels! Good choice of the tires, the wheels look much better wrapped in Pegasus rubber!
espo Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 The total build looks right on. The Grill and front Bumper along with the rear Bumper look like they may have been cast from an original '68 model. The dark blue color really makes this a sleek looking body.
Plowboy Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 That's a nice looking '68 Impala! I restored a promo of one years ago and stuck those same wheels on it temporarily. You stated that you used the Pegasus tires on your wheels. I'm assuming the 23s? They do make a difference!

Yes, they are the 23" tires. I haven't seen them around for a while, I wonder if they stopped making them.
