There was a company in the '70's that would take Cadillac and shorten the body and chassis making a two seater with stock front and rear sheet metal.

At least Cadillac made the XLR not look like a badge-engineered Vette.

See also: George Barris's "Barrister" conversion. At least he put some effort into it.

This one I like. The first one is just a mess, IMHO. I have to give credit to the efforts, however. Not every attempt at bat is a home run.

Very true, and just making a decent CGI car takes some work.
