Dan Hay Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 This build is over 20 years old. It has held up well. It's a straightforward box stock build, with extra lowering and flames. This was the first time I flamed a model using the same method one would flame a 1:1 car... covered the front with tape, drew them out with a pencil, then carefully cut out a stencil with an x-acto knife. I barely remember how I faded the colors, I vaguely remember fogging paint from a distance while holding cardboard with one hand a few inches away from the model. Then I cleared the whole thing. Turned out pretty good! 1
doorsovdoon Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 Looks amazing, very nice paint job and that engine detail is stunning.
BeakDoc Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 I’d say it held up better than “well”. Gorgeous flame job and engine detailing. The stance is perfect.
Doug 1061 Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Looks great. Looks like you kept it in a case for it to be so clean.. I am a believer in that. Flame job looks like it would be tedious to do. I have one of these in the pile that I'll get to one of these days/years. Biggest thing is I haven't decided what color to make it.
