I'm curious... CT Thanks for the compliment The paint on this one was really basic; old school Testors Lime Gold metalflake airbrushed over a Testors silver base on the truck and over the kit chrome on the bike. HI Mike! Thank you for the infos... I'm not suprised, since Testors offered that metallic "pearl" paint (in spray can) back in the 60's. Problem was... most of us neglected to spray it over a good base coat (white or silver)... and soon discovered that it had a low "hiding" value. Don't ask me how I know... Your execution is great, however! Regards, CT

Even with a good base coat, I still had a few botched Testors paint jobs in my younger days, I think we all did.
NitroMarty Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 I built this one many, many, many years ago.... A bit rough and crudely finished, I may eventually take a run at doing a much improved clone of it someday.... 2

THarrison351 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I built this decades ago. The box is from 1994 so some time around then. It suffered damage and lived in the box for many years, I pulled it back out and repaired it when I finished my hobby room a few years back. It's on display now along with this 51 Chevy that also suffered damage and was repaired. 1
