Fujimi Shelby Cobra 427

Much has been said about the line of the Fujimi Cobra kits . Much if not all bad . Is it a great kit. No .  Is it accurate ? No . I personally don’t think it is all that bad . I have built a couple others and when done I’ll be darned if it didn’t look like a Cobra ! If you want to build an accurate Cobra or a replica of a specific race car this is not the kit you want . We will see what it looks like when I finish keeping in mind I am not the best builder . I am using a pic I found on line as my guide but will not be an exact copy . Tires/wheels done but I had to order tire decals . Body has been cleaned up and primed white. Engine is lackluster which is one of the complaints and I must agree .

Looks great Ray, now you need the 1/12 scale version. You can make the 1/12 look great!!

Just bought the pre painted Meng 1/12 GT 40 so my play money is kind of low right now . ?

Made some headway on this unloved kit . Perhaps not the best Cobra kit but I have some far worse .  Anyway , body ready for paint . I have most of the chassis done . I made the front splitters (?) from sheet plastic . I also made the rear under chassis air deflector ( ?) .  Working on interior now .

First off, you're doing a great job, Bud!!, and you always find unique ways to build Cobras. Secondly, i agree with everybody else...Fujimi really dropped the ball on this one...having said that, i also agree that this is a Fun kit to build, and looks great on the shelf. I treat it like its a kit of one of the kit car offerings...thats how i can, and will build mine. Looking forward to more!!!

Body painted Tamiya Pearl white and Tamiya paints also used for the green and red stripes . Next some minor decals and then clear .

Looks reallly good for sure. I dont ever remember doing a Cobra in any form or fashion, but I think I will have to give it a whirl this year. All the model companies seem to have one. ?
