Revell's new T2 kit is finally out and first impressions so far are really positive.

Proportions, molding and parts breakdown are all very well done.

No sink marks visible from the Easy-click system, much better than the 1/16 Porsche 356 i built which seemed to have them everywhere.

A few pics of a quick mock up and primer coat.

It looks better in your pics than the ones revell released. Do you happen to have a pic looking inside from the back? I'm planning to build mine with a suburu engine when they arrive and just trying to plan ahead for it

Since the box art is orange and I see a bit of orange in your mock-up, I am going to presume the kit is molded in orange. Right?  Would love to have this kit with the Wesphalia options. Owned a '72, traded it for a '78 Rabbit WWIT?

Correct, the body is molded in orange.

Very nice! I’m still working on my 1/16 Porsche 356. The sink holes on it are atrocious. I’ll have to get one if these VW T2s though. Cheers

The Westfalia camper will be coming soon from Revell.

Looks like it's comng along pretty good.  My father in-law use to own an automotive shop and he specialized in VW's.  He just loved them.  He had two of the buses.
