Looking through my kits today and decided on my next build. Revell-Monogram's 1969 Dodge Charger pro modeler that I recently purchased online.

Built one of these before over 20 years ago now, hoping this one comes out much better than that one. First time sanding off the vinyl roof on a model too, so wish me luck.

Got some painting done today, assembled some of the motor and painted the rims. Gonna pick off the lines with a silver sharpie, should look better than the chrome.

What is the difference between a "pro modeller" and a non pro modeller? Are they different moulds?

This one has a few more parts and a choice between a 440 or a 426 Hemi for the motor.

Looking forward to seeing your build. Have you decided on colors yet?

I'm thinking orange body with a tan interior.

Always wanted to build a nice General Lee replica, this kit is way better than the actual release. Have all the stuff in my parts to build one.

I don't know if you know this, but the first issues of that ProModeler kit had the shallow roof line, one of which I got.  Revell had notice this and stopped production to re-engineer the body to the correct roof height.  Check your roof height before you proceed any further.

I didn't know that, my roof line appears to be correct. Thanks for the heads up.

Looking forward to you updates on this. One of my favorite cars.

Might be a few days till the next update, won't have much time this week to get anything done it on.

Yeah it does pal, I plan on sanding it off.

you could use a 68 Charger body and you wouldn’t have to sand. I believe everything works on both…

I was looking for one of those but haven't found any within a decent price range up here. Got the 69 online for a steal, been watching videos and seems like it should be  simple enough to do.

Definitely more realistic

I thought so too, way better than the chrome in the kit

Got the 440 assembled today except for the manifolds will install those after the motor and exhaust are attached to the chassis.

Was debating on using the 426 Hemi but think the 440 will look much better under the hood.

Very clean and nice painted engine, Jason.  I like mine that way..

Thanks pal, was debating doing a little weathering on this build but decided to keep it clean.
