Started work on the interior and detailed the center console. Slow work but I'm happy with the results.

Very cool.  The floor mat and the detail on the console look sharp

Console is looking good.  I like the wood grain look.

Thanks I was happy with how it turned out.

Nice progress. I like the wheels and the centre console, looking really good. I have the dreaded MPC version of this to build soon!

Thank you, appreciate it. I have the MPC version as well and after seeing how badly the mod had become decided to build it into something else.

Looking really good, interior is very nice, great work on the console. That engine!

I built a version of this kit years ago, broke to pieces during several moves but think I have some surviving pieces in my parts box.

This looks great. Have always loved the 68-72 Chargers. I have the MPC Country Charger kit and was thinking about building it next. Sorry, don't mean to ask a silly question but when you say "after seeing how badly the mod had become" what do you mean? Not sure what you mean when you say "Mod". I have not heard great things about that kit so I'm expecting a challenge. Hopefully I can overcome it.

Thanks appreciate it. Typed mold but guess my phone must of changed it to mod instead. I've found the kit has been reissued so many times there are lots of issues with it.

Mine has half the trim missing from the drivers side window, that's why I decided to use the better kit for this build and thinking of turning the country Charger into a stock car.

I'm still working away on this, had some paint issues that forced me to strip the old paint off. Now it's wearing Dupli-Color Hemi Orange which I'm happy with so far

Picked up some Dupli-Color clear, first time using it and looked great on a test piece.

Question for anyone reading this who has used it, is it best applied after the chrome and decals are on the kit or before?

Makes sense, appreciate the quick reply.

Great progress on this! Nice interior detailing.

Good color choice but I can't help seeing it as a DOH Charger.

That's not a bad thing, it's just a thing. It's amazing how those pop culture influences can rewrite one's software.

Thanks David, it's gonna be a General Lee when it's finished. I'm sure us 40 something year olds on here remember that car as a kid outrunning the sheriff and jumping over everything and wanting one lol.

I kind of thought so but I didn't want to assume anything. Are you going to go with the traditional version or the socially adjusted version?

Going with the traditional version David, car just wouldn't look right missing the flag.
