With my '55 Chevy build in hiatus I have begun the Revell Snaptite '57 Chevy for an easy less stressfull build (hopefully).

Body is painted with Createx Airbrush Pearl Blue over Stynylrez primer. Cleared with Rusto Crystal Clear Acrylic Lacquer.  I have not polished it out yet.

More to come

I does Chaz. It's actually a bit darker in person. First I mixed some of the purple with the blue but it came out more purple. I fine sanded it and used the blue on the left with a touch of black over the purple.

Good color. I hope uttering the word “simple” doesn’t come back to bite you! ?

Well I actually said "easy less stressful" but I hear ya Dennis.  I always have some kind of issue with every build.

Man, how did you get that shine with all this humidity we have?

I checked the humidity before spraying the clear, was right at 70, so I just did it. Lucky I guess.

Funny thing with that pearl blue color - every time I see someone paint something that shade I'm like "wow, I love that color!" and it's ALWAYS that Createx blue.  I've got probably 5 bottles of it here, and every time I see something painted with it it catches my eye!  Nice choice!

He's one of the more prominent acrylic users on here, and his results speak for themselves.

Door panels look great, Mike!

It is a pretty color. Funny, I painted it with the pearl blue and mixed a little (too much) purple and it came out more purple than blue, so I sprayed the blue untinted over it and now in the light, it has purple highlights. Custom paint job without even trying?

I don't know about "prominent" Monty, really only the second Createx painted model, but I can say it's gonna be my go too from now on. I really like it.

Some interior pics...seat inserts are the very nice kit decals. Since I lost my PE Hurst shifters (I have looked everywhere for them) I used a straight pin with a (too big unfortunately)ball for the shifter.
