oldscool Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Sad to hear this as I always liked his acting.I always laugh when I think of the scene in Stroker Ace where he was jumping on the bed in his underwear in front of Loni Anderson.LOL I aways wondered how he felt about being so well known for that "certain scene" in Deliverance

PowerPlant Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 I saw him on stage some 20 years ago in London, playing Big Daddy in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". Great actor! RIP

I just thought he was one of those "character actors" who'd been around forever, like Anthony Zerbe et al. 5 hours ago, oldscool said: I aways wondered how he felt about being so well known for that "certain scene" in Deliverance Wondered the same thing, poor guy.

NYLIBUD Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Oh man that just sucks.I was such a huge fan of his.May he RIP.?
ChrisBcritter Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Sorry to see him go. A couple favorites: He had a good dramatic part in the TV movie The Deadly Tower from 1975 plus some great comic bits in 1941 - especially the part where he sets up the antiaircraft gun in his front yard while rattling off all the instructions Dan Ackroyd told him NOT to do.
