Sad to hear this as I always liked his acting.I always laugh when I think of the scene in Stroker Ace where he was jumping on the bed in his underwear in front of Loni Anderson.LOL

I aways wondered how he felt about being so well known for that "certain scene" in Deliverance

Didn't know that! I just thought he was one of those "character actors" who'd been around forever, like Anthony Zerbe et al.

Sorry to see him go. A couple favorites: He had a good dramatic part in the TV movie The Deadly Tower  from 1975 plus some great comic bits in 1941 - especially the part where he sets up the antiaircraft gun in his front yard while rattling off all the instructions Dan Ackroyd told him NOT to do.
