I've done a couple of big rig builds now but only one trailer and I gave that to my dad for Christmas. Seeing my rigs looking incomplete I picked this Coca Cola version up a few months back to complete the cool look! Great kit, it builds up nice and easy. Instructions are not the best, but it's obvious where most of the parts go so it's not really an issue. The one thing that needed attention was the rear doors, they are too wide by about a mm which push the side panels out when the doors are closed, trimming a sliver off the edge fixed it. Decals are from the AMT GMC Astro. They're very thick decals, good if you need to move them around without tearing, bad if you have no decal solvent! I've included a couple of pics of it hooked up to my Kenworth Aerodyne.

Very cool rig.  With a different backdrop it could pass as the real deal. The 3/4 front view in your second post almost looks like it is rolling down the highway.  Impressive work. Thanks for sharing it.

Great looking combination, Gareth.  The trailer looks very well done, and I really like your K100.  Coincidentally, I am finishing one of those kits up right now.

Thanks, Ricky. It always surprises me when someone says a build of mine could pass for the real thing, it's the highest complement, thank you!

Thanks, James. It's my favourite semi build so far. Look forward to seeing your build, I love Kenworths.

Man, that is nice... Beautiful job... Excellent decal work and the paint looks just as good... Great detail on the chassis, and the tractor ain't bad, either...

One of the best I've seen...

Thanks guys. The decals are good but I wish I used decal solvent to get them to cling to the ribbed panels. They just kind of sit on them and look a bit wrinkly up close. Can decal solvent be used days or even weeks after they have been applied? I haven't lacquered the trailer.

I don't know about weeks, but I've used decal solvent a couple of days after I applied decals with no ill effects that I could see.

That's good news, I finished the trailer just under a week ago. Thanks, James. I've got some decal solvent coming in the post so hopefully it'll work.

Thanks, Kerry. I'm still waiting for this darn decal solvent to arrive in the post so I can finally lacquer it.

It finally arrived today. I applied it and it made no difference, lol. Those ribs are very fine and close together so I wasn't expecting them to conform much more than they already have. It doesn't look too bad anyway so I'll just lacquer the trailer as is.

I grew up in Detroit from the 1940's to the late 1960's about a mile from the Fruehauf trailer plant. Lot of cool stuff use to come out of there.

Great build.

Thanks, Ed. Yeah, these trailers are pretty cool. We don't see them over here, they're mostly cutainside.
